What causes Churg-Strauss Syndrome?

Thought to be an allergic reaction, Churg-Strauss Syndrome cannot be attributed to a specific cause.

A few asthma patients have developed Churg-Strauss Syndrome after using the inhaled steroid "Accolate", but there has been no proven cause-and-effect relationship between "Accolate" and the syndrome.
